The world's a mess. The news and social media create overwhelm, division and hopelessness. In reality...

More people are caring, sharing and doing than you think. Let's make them visible.

All around you, people are caring for nature, looking out for neighbours, volunteering locally and rescuing animals.
Most of them can't see each other.

Find people and organisations near you who care about the same things, discover small ways to make a difference, and connect when you're ready.

Why it feels this way

Caring can feel lonely.

You care about the state of things: nature, inequality, how we live, where technology is taking us. You still have no clear sense of who nearby feels the same.

Problems look bigger.Action feels heavier.Hope gets harder to hold.

What's missing is a simple, low-pressure way to find one another.

The map

The groups are here. Now let's spread the word and add the people.

We've been mapping organisations and community groups doing good work. Every person who joins gives the map a human face, and shows which causes we care about most, postcode by postcode. Explore it now, then join.

Every council area has its own community page. It opens once 10 locals are on the map.
As it grows, you'll see what your community cares about most, and how that compares with nearby towns, other states and overseas. Always totals, never individuals.

How small steps add up

From one person to a connected community.

  1. Be visiblePeople and organisations put themselves on the map and show what they care about.
  2. Find each otherYou discover who nearby shares your concerns, and which organisations are already doing good work.
  3. Take a small stepA small action turns concern into something practical you can do today.
  4. ConnectQuick Chats, recommendations and introductions start real relationships.
  5. Let it spreadRipple codes, posters and invitations carry it to the next street and the next town.

No single action fixes a big problem. Connected people can do more than scattered ones, and that's what the map is for.

Starting in Victoria

Victoria, let's show what's possible.

Care Share Do started here in Victoria in October 2026, where the team behind it is based. We're asking Victorians to come together first: put yourselves on the map, take a few small actions, bring your local groups along, and show what a connected community can do.

Then we take it to the rest of Australia and the world. Anyone, anywhere can join today, and every region starts the same way, with a few people willing to be found.

In more detail

Care, Share, Do, your poster and the book.

Care

Say what matters to you, and be found by people who feel the same.

Pick the causes you care about and add the organisations you support or trust. You're pinned on the map at your postcode, never your street, and nothing more is asked of you. Your card is a quiet signal that someone here cares about this too.

Once you're on, the Care actions are small acts for the people around you, the place you live and yourself. Each takes between one minute and an hour.

For example: check in on someone you haven't heard from, plant for pollinators, adopt a spot and keep it tidy, walk outside.

Share

Your ripple code shows how far one invitation travels.

Every person and organisation on the map has a ripple code, a personal link to share with friends, colleagues and your community. When someone joins through it they appear in your ripple, and when they invite others, your ripple keeps spreading. A community group can see the same for its own members and supporters.

The Share actions cover lending things and skills, small kindnesses and spreading the word.

For example: lend a tool, teach someone something in fifteen minutes, cook an extra plate for a neighbour, pin a poster at your library.

Do

Small, practical steps, one at a time.

The library has actions across Care, Share and Do, from two minutes to two hours. Pick one that fits the time you have and tick it off in My Actions on your dashboard. Every action counts the same. People are never ranked against each other and there's nothing to win.

These are invitations, not obligations. Choose what feels right for you, when it feels right. Nobody is asking you to take risks or be a hero.

The Do actions are about connecting, stretching yourself and growing the network of people doing good work.

For example: say hello, have a fifteen-minute Quick Chat with someone who shares your causes, disagree kindly, volunteer somewhere new, recommend an organisation so others can find it.

Spread the word locally

A notice on a local noticeboard still works.

We want to build community around shared interests, starting where people live. One of the simplest ways to spread the word locally is an A4 notice on a noticeboard at your library, cafe, community garden or neighbourhood house, like this one.

Once you sign up, we generate yours for you in the My Ripple section of your dashboard, with your own ripple QR codes on the tear-offs. Write your name, your town and what you care about in the box, print it and pin it up. Everyone who joins from your poster appears in your ripple.

Pinning up a poster is one of the Share actions.

An example A4 poster: a map of Victoria, a box to write your name and causes, and eight tear-off QR codes along the bottom.
An example poster. Yours carries your own ripple codes.

The book

Changemaker42, by Jean Arcadian. Free when you join.

A 42-step guide from overwhelm to agency in the AI era. It's waiting in your dashboard as soon as you join, with no strings attached. Sharing is never required to get it.

Read it at your own pace, or load it into your AI and run it as a personal course, one step at a time. The map, the actions and the book grow from the same idea: change begins when people who care can see each other and take one small step together.

Questions

Frequently asked questions.

Is it really free?

Yes. Joining, the map, the actions and the book are all free, forever.

Is this a social network?

No. There are no posts, feeds, followers, likes or algorithms, and no messaging. The only way to meet someone is a Quick Chat you have both agreed to.

Do I need to be an activist?

Not at all. You might be passionate about a cause, curious about what others are doing, looking for community, or simply keen to see more of the good that's already happening. Take part in whatever way suits you.

Do I have to take action?

No. Putting yourself on the map and seeing who else is out there is a worthwhile start in itself. If you feel like doing more, an action can be as small as thanking someone or planting something for pollinators.

What if I don't have much time?

Start with a two-minute action and do more when you can. Being on the map counts too.

What if nobody near me is on the map yet?

That's exactly why the map exists. You can be the first in your area, and your ripple code and poster help the next people find you.

Will I be asked to volunteer or donate?

No. Neither is a condition of joining, and nobody will chase you for either. Some actions suggest volunteering somewhere new, and they're only ever invitations.

What can other people see about me?

Only what you choose to put on your card. You're pinned at your postcode, never your street address, and you can hide your postcode, your causes and your groups. You don't even need a password: sign up securely with LinkedIn, Google or a magic link to your email. Your phone number is never shown, and your email address is shared only with someone you've both agreed to meet on a fifteen-minute Quick Chat, so you can organise your catch-up. Read the full privacy policy.

Why did it start in Victoria?

Victoria is where the company behind Care Share Do is based, and where we started in October 2026. Anyone, anywhere can join. The map covers the world, and every new region starts with a few people willing to be found, or willing to volunteer as a Local Community Partner and help kickstart it in their community.

What is a ripple?

Your ripple is the growing circle of people who joined because of you, and the people they brought in. It grows each time someone uses your ripple code, or joins through the code of a person or organisation your invitation started.

What are Quick Chats?

An optional fifteen-minute video meet with someone who wants to meet you, and who you want to meet. Quick Chats are off until you switch them on. You choose which invites to accept, and your email address is shared only after you have both said yes.

How do I add my organisation?

Join, then add the organisation from your dashboard, or claim it if it's already on the map. Organisations are pinned at their street address. Community groups that want to go further can become a partner.

How do I change or remove my card?

Change your card at any time from your dashboard. You can hide your card, or delete it and your account, at any time, no questions asked, and we automatically email you a confirmation when it's done. If you leave, your ripple rolls up automatically, so the people you brought in stay connected.
