Who we are

Care Share Do (formerly Care Share Dare) is run by Climateers Pty Ltd, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia ("we", "us"). This policy covers caresharedo.org and the care share do map wherever it appears, including when it is embedded on our partner and topic websites.

We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What other people can see

Your card shows what you've chosen to put on it. People are pinned at their postcode, never their street address, and you can hide your postcode, your causes and your groups. Your email address and phone number are never shown on the map. Organisations are pinned at their street address.

Who we share it with

We never sell your information, and we never share it for advertising.

Some of these providers store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States and Europe. We choose providers that protect information to a standard comparable to the Australian Privacy Principles.

We would also disclose information if the law required us to.

Keeping it safe

Sign-in is passwordless, so there is no password of yours to leak. Access to information in our database is controlled row by row, so members can only change their own records, and only a small number of moderators can see more. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you share with us.

Changes and questions

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top, and we'll tell members about any significant change.
